Drivers fume as fuel pump sells water as petrol in Kazakhstan

A bizarre case of water being sold as petrol has left the drivers in Astana, Kazakhstan fuming. The drivers realised this once they left the petrol pump and their vehicles broke down mid-way.


Reportedly, at least four customers of the petrol pump were allegedly sold water instead of petrol. These customers registered their complaints with the management of the fuel station.


Chingiz Nuzarkhanov, a manager of the company responsible for running the petrol pump accepted the mistake and said that water had got into the fuel supply due to a technical fault with the petrol tanker which had delivered the petrol.
